VonDoomCraft Texture Packs

Kyctarniq's Texture Packs

I love Tekkit! That says it all really. My Tekkit Lite texture pack is based on Kyctarniq's Texture Pack (of course :) ). This is a photo-based texture pack so all the images are based on something real. This pack is not finished it needs consistent menus and some mods still have default textures. Of the new textures I particularly like the Thermal Expansion and the Modular Powersuits.

I discovered that I needed to download the new launcher to get version 0.6.5. I am switching 0.5.9 to 0.6.5.

DustyCraft Texture Packs

DustyCraft is a 32×32 texture pack that was originally released in September 2010. The pack has a very high level of detail and comes with some custom mob textures.

INSTALLATION

1) First, patch the client. See, my texture pack doesn't work flawlessly with the Minecraft's lower default resolutions. You'll get graphical bugs here and there. Thankfully, patching the client for higher resolutions is easier than ever! It used to lock your client in a specific resolution, but no longer! Now the mod allows you to switch between any resolutions you desire. Now's a good time to check out some of those awesome lower resolution packs alongside of my own, like Eld's, Wyuki's or Puddle's Tooncraft... Not now though, right now you should patch your client and try out my own, lest you forget. Anyways... get the MCpatcher here:

I will no longer detail the instructions of installing the patcher here. Just read the thread, which has plenty of information for you. I also will not be able to help if you're having issues with it. I did not code it, so I can't really help you. If you have issues with patching your client you'll get more help by posting in its thread, not mines.

2) Okay, now to get the texture pack itself! The download will be in the next section, so download the latest zip. DO NOT UNZIP IT. You need the zip, not the contents. If you'd like, you can save it directly to your .minecraft/texturepacks folder. If you don't know where that is, don't worry I can help you(if you're on Windows...)! In the meantime if you don't know where that is, save it somewhere convenient, like your desktop. Then, either go to your start button and go to 'run' or press your keyboards windows key + r. You'll get a run dialog box. Type in %appdata% and click the OK button. Now find the .minecraft folder. Open it, and you'll see the texturepacks folder, so open that as well. Now you can drag and drop the zip you downloaded earlier into it. There, all done Posted Image. Just start your client and go in the Texture Packs options and choose DustyCraft.

Woocraft Asian Resource Packs

Woocraft was the first texture pack that I thought was art. It inspired me to make HD texture packs. I was very sad when it was discontinued. I kept a copy and updated it for my personal use. It has now grown to a point that I feel I can release it for others.

My hope is to keep Woocraft going and growing. I have kept it as pure as I can and only added textures (I changed a couple of clearly borrowed textures). I will keep the ethos set out by Wooraah:
* Make wooden buildings look cool (darkened and used a teak style wood)
* Give an Asian flavor where possible
* Be playable with any map (i.e. all blocks should be recognizable for what they are), color matched and pleasant too the eye.
* Custom Asian art that is in keeping with the rest of the pack.
* Be as color matched as possible, so no block looks un-natural or out of place when it’s next to another you would commonly expect to see there.

McKnack Texture Packs

Vibrant Colors
Colors upon colors! Everything in The McKnack Pack was made to make the most of the colors. From the bright green/blue grass, to the blue-tinted stone. Nearly every texture was made with offset hues to shade bright, but plausible colors, resulting in deeper, more dynamic colors. This, when combined with the colored lighting of various in-game light sources, yeilds interesting and unique color transitions that create nearly endless color variations depending on the conditions.

Clean Aesthetic
Nearly every texture is devoid of unnecessary visual clutter, while still being detailed and true to the Minecraft feel. Shiny obsidian makes it look almost like marble, Warm/cold contrasted wood paneling makes your wood floors spottless, and the mowed grass makes every mountain look pristinely maintained by mysterious invisible landscapers.

Faithful Design
If you built your own White House using Iron, fear not, the iron here is just as white as the default. You won't have to worry about any of your works being tainted by mis-colored textures when switching from the default. While some textures have been changed to be more accurate to real life, all of the decoratively used blocks are similarly colored to the default.

And now the experience is more complete than ever! Items are finished and ready to be used to build and destroy! Use the best looking (but nearly useless) gold items. Enjoy a delicious steak. Get your hand eaten by a headcrab. Slap your enemies with fish! All in the same vibrant style you know and love.

In addition, the sun and moon have been changed, and the ores have been reworked and improved! Enjoy the most complete McKnack Pack experience yet!

SilverMines Resource Packs

This is my first own texture pack. This is a work-in-progress-pack, so it is not finished yet, I have already edited the most blocks, the items, some mobs and some parts of the gui, but in future I will also edit all other textures.
The block-textures are painted in comic-style (64x) and the items are painted in pixel-art (32x).I also plan to make a 128x128 version of the pack.

Fortune & Glory Jungle Ruins

This texture pack a continuation of Jungle Ruins by Lilyo. I am not claiming any of the textures and hard work by Lilyo and the Jungle Ruins Team. I am only releasing this pack because there has not been an update for a long time since 1.5 released. I am not comfortable releasing this as Jungle Ruins until I hear from Lilyo and I have taken extra fire insurance, just in case :) .

When I started playing Minecraft this was the first texture pack I downloaded. I played far too many hours of Minecraft in Lilyo's world. I was surprised when it stopped being published.
